Rising Global Powers: The New Reality

Since the end of the Cold War, the United States has enjoyed the spotlight as the sole superpower in world affairs. Yet the 21st century promises to be characterized by multiple and competing sources of global power. As Brazil, India, South Africa, and others gain strength across various dimensions of power—political, military, economic, and cultural, among others—shifting patterns of power will become more critical.
Join Vlad Sambaiew from the Stanley Foundation as he discusses the dynamics driving the diffusion, redistribution, and redefinition of power around the globe, and suggest policy options for how the United States can continue to play a global leadership role in an age of multiple rising powers.
