The Fissile Materials Working Group brings together the experience of leading nonproliferation experts and nongovernmental organizations, including the Stanley Foundation, concertedly working to support President Obama's vision of "securing all nuclear weapons materials at vulnerable sites within four years." Members of the Working Group collaborate in a series of meetings designed to create consensus behind top fissile materials control priorities, develop actionable policy proposals, and package recommendations for implementation by Obama administration officials.

Full-time (as of September 1, 2010) K-12 classroom teachers at Saints Mary and Mathias Catholic School or within the Muscatine Community School District may enter the drawing that will determine ten finalists.
